Again not the fault of my doctors.
In total, while I can't speak for the other practitioners, I highly recommend Kim Griffin as a mental health practitioner.
My only negatives would be that the waits are long. I usually see Kim about a half hour past my appointment time; this doesn't bother me as I need to take a full day off to see Kim (seriously, I will keep seeing her until she tells me to go elsewhere or decided to stop practicing!)
I did once have to wait on a prescription, but I kept calling every day and leaving messages. (Again no fault of my doctors) until the office staff took my needs to another doctor for approval.
Only rating one star because I am unable to rate a zero stars. The worst children's behavioral health doctor. Always running late, however if you show up more than 3 minutes late they will make you reschedule. Wellspan across the board if a terrible health care system. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I have been seeing Wellspan BH doctors since 2000, with the exception of once. I have never had a terrible experience, there have been a few bad or oops experiences.
Sometimes, it takes a while to get through to a Nurse, but I expect that due to high call volumes.
The Gettysburg Pa. WellSpan is the best place for outpatient psychiatric care and medication. I highly recommend this place to people who need help for depression or other illnesses that require medical management. The only issue is that people have to wait so long to be evaluated, but once they are, they receive above average care.
I don't take anything out on my doctors, they don't always know what is going on up front.
I do agree with the negativity from the up front staff members. Although there are a few I absolutely adore.
The phone thing drives me up a wall. They claim to try to reach you, but picking up a phone on their end is nearly impossible. They could at least pick up and ask you to hold, acknowledging your call. I got a letter recently telling me they have been trying to reach me; hello are you dialing the right number?? I can see they haven't been trying. I've been trying to call back and haven't talked to anyone.
I have a coworker in crisis and after almost 10 minutes on hold I was told they aren't taking any new patients in Gettysburg?!?!?!? So the ER is your only choice now?
I have been seeing Kim Griffin for about 8 years at Wellspan Behavioral Health in Gettysburg. She is the most caring, trustworthy psychiatric practitioner I have ever met (and I have seen quite a few!). Even when I lived in Baltimore, I would still drive to see Kim. I currently live in Maryland and STILL drive to see Kim! She truly listens to my thoughts and takes them seriously; if I suggest we try something else, we do! The staff is also very responsive to messages sent through their Patient Portal.
