I have consistently found them to be courteous and helpful. They have made calls to the "right people" to cut through the red tape in Harrisburg. Yes, you can't leave messages on the phone, but in person, they are great.
If you are nice and respectful to them then that's how they will treat you. People are constantly going in there and yelling at the worker's and it breaks my heart because WE NEED them and their service they DON'T NEED US. Please remember they just work there and are trying to help you and show them respect. FYE: Always have your paperwork stamped in front of you and have them make a copy of it with a date stamped on it for later reference!!!!
I have been dealing with these people for about two years. They are extremely hard to get ahold of by phone and they always send letters a few days prior to the due date, not giving enough time or notice. I've had such trouble with them it's almost not worth it. If it weren't for the medical assistance for my children, I wouldn't be dealing with them anymore.
This office is staffed by some people who are openly hostile to anyone seeking assistance. This is a sign a bad management. There are long overdue for a shake up.
It's funny how I was with the York county office for many years n now switch to York n so much is different.n she tried to say no it's like this in all countries of Pennsylvania....umm no lady it's not!. So rude n stuck up n treat u like ur retarded.I'd move back into York county just to get away from Adam's county crap.
