Our primary veterinarian is Dr. Myra Jones. Some of our rescue cats are feral and require special handling. They can be a bit difficult to handle, but Dr. Jones is patient, and she takes the time to figure out how to handle them in a way that doesn't upset them, so she can give them the care they need. Their care and needs really are her priority.
We want to thank Dr. Jones and the rest of the staff at the Gettysburg Animal Hospital for everything you have done and continue to do for the rescue cats we bring to you.
Lowest office visit fee in history. Vets are awesome. They care about taking care of your pet and they make it affordable to do so. Office visit, medication, and both dogs naa trimmed for LITERALLY $47.
I wish there were more stars on the survey than 10 because I would rate the Gettysburg Animal Hospital much higher if I could. From the front office staff, veterinary assistants, and the veterinarians working here, I must say they are the most caring and helpful people I have ever met.
Dr. Jones is always professional, knowledgeable, and displays kindness and compassion for every cat we bring in. She always gives us the time we need and explains the situation in a straight forward and honest manner. She has saved the lives of many of our cats that seemed hopeless.
My husband and I care for many rescued cats. Some of our rescues have serious medical issues we only discover after taking them in. Whenever we call for an appointment for an emergency situation, the staff always does their best to accommodate us. Everyone here loves animals and go above and beyond to ensure your pet receives the best treatment at a reasonable price.
Great Vets and staff is friendly as well. The prices are reasonable compared to other vets.
I had to have my cat put to sleep. She was 16 years old, sick, and frail. The staff and vet were so kind and empathetic. They were efficient and made the process as comforting as is possible in this situation.

I have taken 4 different dogs to the Gettysburg animal hospital and I’m continuously impressed by the care I’ve received by all staff. They answer questions and explain things quite thoroughly. Most recently my new pup had fleas and they checked to make sure they were gone. Also, they called me the next day after a fecal sample revealed my puppy had roundworms. They are prompt when handling these types of situations, and for that I’m grateful. I’d highly recommend the vets and technicians at this facility.
