The Mexican American war, World War I, World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War are very well represented the artifacts and displays are amazing, some of the most unique one of a kind items

My 15 year old son and I enjoyed this awesome collection of interesting items and great conversation with the elder gentleman that built it. If you like WWI and WWII items this is a MUST SEE.

No fancy displays, this is a private collection that,I assume, doesnt benefit from tax dollars. But that was just fine with me.As someone who has had a lifelong interest in WW 2,this was a great experience for me.

Do not let the photo of the building fool you.. This place is amazing and need to be on your places to visit in Gettysberg PA. There is not a lot of civil war artifacts here only a small section.

FYI - The hours are not always posted correctly.

Well worth seeing if you are visiting Gettysburg.

The man who runs this museum has a very interesting collection, but....the place is gross, the display cases have not been cleaned or updated for years. There are dead bugs behind the glass. My son and I were there in March and it was not opened at the posted time. I called and the owner ( who lives next door) said he would open in 15 minutes. I had to call again after about 25 minutes and he opened it and started a wood stove on the main level. The place was freezing cold, a smoke detector was chirping the entire time we were there and when we got down to the basement level, the only exit was chained shut with wood in an x shape further preventing use of the door. I called the fire department to report this. Unless these issues have been corrected, I would advise against going!

My boyfriend is a history buff and introduced me to this. Really impressive collection of artifacts from pre civil war to Vietnam War. The artifacts don't have too many captions, but there are a few articles that assist the casual observer. If you know what you're looking at, it's a must see. If not, it is novel if not fascinating.
