The national apple museum was a pleasant visit. it was staffed by two elderly people in their 60's and 70's, got the sense that they were volunteers. They have all kinds of history, photos and equipment that tells the life of apples, farms, original settlers, geography and ecology of the surrounding area. this is a 1 hour tour, in a nearly century old barn. The tour was okay, we didnt get to finish the entire thing because the museum was closing. admission was 2.00 per person, 1.75 for seniors. We were told after the tour we'd get a free glass of apple juice.... though i didnt see any. Knouse and Motts & Mussellman have area operations.
Tried visiting today and doesn't seem to be open anymore looked run down and vacant
The museum has recently reopened after being closed for several years.
Nice little place by apt only though.
