Be sure to go up to the copula with the park ranger after visiting the Shriver House.
This really is a hidden treasure. I have been to gettysburg numerous times over my lifetime and never stopped here. But it is well worth it. Even with kids. They couldn't take the cupola tour, but we're invited to participate in a fact finding scavenger hunt. Loved it!
Great visit..learned something new and the Cupola tour is worth it!
An awesome, new museum for your Gettysburg trip! Exhibits include the first day of the battle in detail, the experience in civil war hospitals, and the issues and stories surrounding slavery. Price of admission is fairly cheap, and while the optional cupola tour can dig into your wallet a bit it's totally worth it for history buffs in my opinion. So if you want a cheaper museum visit on your trip and want to know more about the first day of the battle this is the place to go ma friends. Peace!
Put together well, not over whelming with stuff. Free for active military.
