An enchanting place within easy reach of Gettysburg National. Delicious breakfast, spellbinding history lesson from Mike Vice, lovely and repeated welcomes from Florence, Grace and Connie; and the added delights of many cats and the gradually increasing sizes of horses Ellis, Pudding, and Burberry. Also lots of fascinating artifacts and costumes. Do yourself a favor and stay at Battlefield B&B!
Just got married at Battlefield Bed and Breakfast and it was perfect! This has been our 3rd time staying at the b & b and its had been consistently an amazing experience. The owners are incredibly accommodating and the facilities are lovely. Highly recommended.
Finally, I value privacy. But from the way the owner was talking about previous weddings that had ben held there, she sounded very intrusive.
We loves the Battlefield bed and breakfast! It is very historical and located on the Gettysburg battlegrounds. The staff is excellent and knowledgeable of the areas history. A short drive down the road takes you to the heart of the Gettysburg battlegrounds where there are miles of roads weaving through that lead you to many historical landmarks.
The rooms are small and dusty. As far as holding weddings go, they are not flexible with accomodating the customer's wants (forcing the customer to use caterers and the DJ that the owner has already picked). All of this would be okay if the price point for holding a wedding there wasn't so high.
Went there to see if it would be a viable option as a wedding venue. The owner was late to meet with us, extremely unprofessional (went out of her way to trash talk our president, started discussing politics without being asked to), and made us late for other engagements we had that day by not adhering to the time limit we had set.
Wonderful blend of historic ambience and modern comfort. Even though our room was in the oldest part of the building we had a thoroughly modern private bath. Breakfast was amazing and pre-breakfast history lessons set the stage for the day's visit to this incredibly moving historical area. Highly recommend.
0/10 would hold a wedding there and probably would not stay there due to the small size of most of the rooms. The only plus is that the two basement rooms have really awesome walk-in showers.
