I'd stay here again, but I'll continue my practice of leaving no possessions in the room while I'm gone.
Seriously this place is way way nicer than I expected it to be!
The hotel is within 4 miles of many of the main attractions (Baltimore Street, etc)
The office staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well-maintained. It was a pleasant, low-cost stay conveniently close to Gettysburg. With the lower price, this hotel does not provide a pool and some other features that you may see in higher-end hotels, but it also means you're not paying for things you might not even use or need. Left turning into and out of the hotel (toward Gettysburg) can be challenging at certain hours of the day, as there is no traffic light for this hotel on the main road.
It is 12:45 am and I can not sleep because the beds are horrible. I literally can feel the springs in my back.When I roll over you can hear the springs pop. Room could have been cleaner. Sticky stuff on nightstand. Bathroom floor looked dirty also. I could definitely tell they were not wuped yp after the last person. Chairs were filthy and stained with burn holes in them and blanket had burn holes in it also. Carpet looks dark in walk area, could probably use a shampoo. I noticed there were out of town men here also (must have been for work) that sat out in trucks smoking. I am here with my 19 year old daughter and we both felt like we were getting stared at which didn't make us feel comfortable, at all. I will not book here again!
The hotel was clean and the staff was very professional. I would give it another star if not for the fact that the cleaning staff threw away the food I left in the fridge after staying there one night. I was booked for an additional night after that. The night manager handled my quite upset self very well and offered a discount that I was content with, but it doesn't do much to inspire confidence when your possessions go missing when you are out for the day.
Not a big continental breakfast. Clean enough. Good price
The listing describes this place as a 2 Star hotel and that absolutely sells it short. I stayed at the Econolodge June 2017 and it's almost like it's a brand new hotel. Everything is very clean and looks almost new. The man at the desk was very polite and check in as a breeze.
