I however wasn't too happy with one thing: It was extremely hot and humid during our stay this past weekend, which made for a less than comfortable sleeping experience. You can't turn the AC below 70 in the rooms, and there are no ceiling fans, nor are there any free-standing fans of any kind provided. The rooms were so stuffy and hot that we ended up sleeping on top of the covers, sweating. They really need to either install ceiling fans in the rooms, or at least provide a standing/box fan that would at least provide some air movement.
Great facility close to shops and restaurants. If we are ever back in town we will absolutely book here again
Absolutely wonderful accommodations. Huge suite with a Jacuzzi tube and walk-in shower. Super friendly staff that are very knowledgeable about the many places to see in the area.
The place is outstanding! this is coming from a guy who travels a lot. The staff are genuinely very friendly and the accommodations are wonderful. We stayed during this past 4th of July - perfect place in a wonderful town with so much history. Highly recommended!!!
I enjoyed the hotel for the most part. Location wise it's fantastic and it was more reasonable in price than other places in the area. There is a very B&B feel to it so that was nice.
We stayed in the John Troxel, Sr. Suite. This was our first visit to Gettysburg and couldn't be happier with our room. The gentelman that greated us was knowledgeable and friendly. The room was clean, well kept and comfortable. There was delicious treats in the room and there coffee was amazing. The location was right in the heart of town where all the entertainment you could need for a weekend gettaway was super accessible. I would recommend it.
