Quaint, clean and friendly. I loved that there was hardwood flooring and not carpet in the room. I also liked having a balcony. Great location. Jenny Wade is across the street, Soldiers Cemetery is less than a 5 min walk. Downtown is just a short stroll down the way.
In the heart of Gettysburg within walking distance to many stores, historical places. Just got here today and tomorrow is my touring day. Looking forward to seeing what they have to offer.
The one good thing about this hotel is the location, but that's about it.
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for one night this weekend. We walked in and the reception clerk was on the phone for five minutes before checking us in. The room was pretty gross and we were freezing all night because the "blankets" on the bed are pretty much just two sheets. I guess the breakfast is what you would expect at a place like this, but I would count on having to go out for breakfast. The light switches in our room didn't work, the ice bucket had no liner, and the shower sounded like a boiling tea kettle. Plus, I think every picture on the wall of the entire hotel has a Confederate flag in it. I know that we're in Gettysburg and there will be flags from both sides around, but that was just ridiculous.
Excellent Staff As Well, Very Helpful And Friendly
Excellent, We Come Only To This Hotel 5 Times A Year
This hotel is in the perfect location in Gettysburg. It is so close to all sorts of souvenir shops and tours and directly across from the Dobbin House. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They offer a free breakfast also.
