Located centrally in Gettysburg, nice rooms with a wonderful staff. I was here for a wedding and stayed two nights. The food was very good and the servers were overall attentive and smiling. The bar staff is awesome, working in a small space with dozens of orders is tough and they nailed it. The Food and Beverage manager also chips in where he is needed. A hands on manager is crucial to success so cheers to him. Definitely recommend this place to others. Looking forward to coming down with my wife again to do the tours.
Beautiful hotel. Had lunch outside. Was a beautiful day. Service was excellent. Had a chef salad. I have had better. Was beautifully served but the ranch dressing lacked flavor was bland. The ham had a funky pink outer edge to it that I wasn't sure what it was.The salami I didn't The lettuce was fresh and crisp. Liked the cheeses. I would go back but would try something else.
Nice historic hotel. My room was in the newer section and was a basic hotel room. The room was somewhat clean, but not what it should have been. There were a few corn chips on the floor just under the bedside table and bed, and a fair amount of hair on the floor! Lots of dust and toothpaste splatters built up on the edges of the sink vanity.
Our room had hairs in the bed and tub. Our Whirlpool didn't work, but maintenance did come and fix it. We had a corner room in front of the roundabout and it was very loud. Bikers running up and down the street all night and a wedding was going on so people were out front very late. You could literally hear every word they were saying at 2am (they weren't yelling). The hotel is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. We ate breakfast at the restaurant and it was very good. Our room was large and very nice besides the hairs and noise.
Interesting. Great for walking. Staff smokers gather around the only door access from the parking area. Very expensive with no breakfast. Staff has no knowledge of the history of the building even though it is advertised as a historical building. Ice machine on our floor not working. Barely a four star.
