I love this place. It has beautiful decor, spacious bathrooms, and period furniture. Breakfast is my favorite because it's delicious and holds me over for my busy fun filled days site seeing. It feels like home. Love love love it!
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful & comfortable B&B. The innkeeper made us feel welcomed. She placed a courtesy call to us before our arrival to make sure we had the correct directions when entering town. We were treated to delicious breakfasts both mornings of our stay. I could go on and on about everything we liked. We will stay here again our next visit to Gettysburg.
Wonderful stay at the Swope Manor. A lovely home - beautiful furnishings and decor in a historic building. It's surprisingly difficult to find a B&B that accepts children. My husband and I with our two kids loved the Lincoln Suite. The kids shared a sofa pullout bed and we had our own separate room. Delicious breakfast with fresh baked item, fruit plate, and a hot entree, all served in a formal dining room. Well located as well - right on a main street and walking distance to several restaurants. Thanks for a great stay!!

I hesitate to recommend the Swope Manor B & B so it won't be booked the next time we want to stay there, but recommend it I must! My husband and I just finished a four-night stay there to celebrate our thirtieth anniversary to visit Gettysburg for the first time. We had always wanted to go there, and the Swope Manor was THE perfect place for us. From the house's spotlessness and gorgeous decor, furnishings, and architecture to the friendly and ever-accommodating staff (thanks Kyle and Bruce!) to the other guests from all over the U.S. who were fun to get to know over breakfast to the great location right downtown--well, it was pretty much a perfect experience.
